"Our centre serves an extremely poor community," says Dinah Mashabela, principal of the Ebenezer ECD Centre in Witbank. "The lack of learning resources is huge and books are non-existent." The Donate-a-Book campaign is helping provide new books in IsiZulu and Sesotho for the 70 children who learn and play at Ebenezer every day.
So far, the campaign has raised over R25,000 for early learning centres across the country but there are still some projects that are not fully funded. Find a project and show your support for mother-tongue literacy before the campaign ends on 31st July.
