Mothoosele Preschool in Bothaville, Free State needs story books in Sesotho for 116 children to read and enjoy.
The Mothoosele Preschool operates in a small township in Bothaville in the Free State. Starting out as an old farm house, the preschool was extended and renovated by a local businessman and officially opened in 1987. The school’s matron, Alina Ramontsent, says her teachers need books to help them get to grips with child development, particularly in the area of pre-literacy: “Many children that are registered in the preschool are under three years of age and the teachers need more training in grouping younger children and understanding the level of development of these children.”
