Iketsetseng Preshcool in the township of Steynsrus in the Free State has been in existence for 21 years, operating out of a church. Mapitso Senamathele, oversees the care of 216 children: “The township is very poor, no factories, very few work opportunities except teaching. There is a high rate of teenage pregnancy, judging from the number of children of teenage mothers registered in the preschool.”
