In the small diamond fields town of Delportshoop, between the Harts and Vaal Rivers, Senior Practitioner Johanna Lemoen cares for 96 pre-school children: “We are in a very remote rural area with no infrastructure. The unemployment rate in the area is 93%. Parents do not have fees so the pre-school has very little resources other than those made by the practitioners. Books will be an invaluable resource for our children.”
